Terms & License
Last updated: June 15, 2026
By using dxf4free (dxf4free.com) and downloading files from it, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain language and kept short.
License to use the files
Unless a specific design's page states otherwise, all files are released under Creative Commons Zero (CC0 1.0) — effectively the public domain. That means you may:
- Download and use the files for personal and commercial projects.
- Modify, remix, and adapt them however you like.
- Use them without attribution (a credit is appreciated, never required).
The one thing you may not do is claim the files, or the dxf4free collection as a whole, are your own original work in order to resell or relicense them as a competing library.
No warranty — cut at your own risk
Files are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Machines, tool settings, software, and materials vary widely. Always preview a file and run a test cut before using expensive material. dxf4free is not liable for any damage, wasted material, injury, or loss resulting from the use of a file.
Acceptable use of the site
- Don't scrape, bulk-download, or hammer the site or its API in a way that degrades it for others.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Don't redistribute the catalog as a bulk dataset or rehosted mirror.
Intellectual property & takedowns
We aim to publish only files that are free to share. If you believe a design infringes your copyright or trademark, email us with the design URL and details and we'll review and remove it promptly. The dxf4free name and logo are not covered by the CC0 license.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
